Keziron named season’s best as Kansanshi Dynamos FC caps off 2024/2025 with colourful awards

Kansanshi Dynamos Football Club capped off a successful 2024/25 campaign with a colourful awards ceremony on Wednesday, May 21, in Solwezi, celebrating the team’s return to the MTN Super League.

Held at Brenda’s Events in North-Western Province, the event brought together players, technical staff, supporters, and stakeholders to honour individual and collective achievements in a season marked by resilience and triumph.

Midfield powerhouse, Kizito Keziron was the night’s standout, claiming both the Player of the Season and Most Consistent Player awards for his leadership and commanding presence throughout the campaign.

Strikers Dalitso Lungu and Kalonji Mwepu shared the Top Scorer title, each netting nine goals that proved vital to the Mabanga Boys’ promotion push.

Martin Alufonso was named Most Improved Player, while Rodger Chitambala received the Disciplined Playeraward for his professionalism on and off the pitch.

Team captain Rodger Lukonde was honoured as the Most Inspirational Player, praised for his steady leadership and team spirit during both highs and lows of the season.

Mathews Mwale earned the Most Promising Player award for his emerging talent and potential.

Behind the scenes, Mike Zozi and Remmy Chanda were jointly presented with the President’s Award for their exceptional service to the club.

The Media Department was recognised as the Most Consistent Department, applauded for effectively sharing the club’s journey and keeping fans engaged.

In a heartfelt tribute, the club awarded the “12th Player Recognition” to its passionate supporters, whose unwavering loyalty and energy were described as the heartbeat of the team.

Speaking at the event, Club President Douglas Nyirenda applauded the team’s efforts and reaffirmed their competitive intent as they rejoin the MTN Super League.

“Earning our place back in the prestigious MTN Super League is a milestone we should not take lightly. It was no accident – it was the result of months of hard work, resilience, unity, and ambition.

“As we return, let it be known that we are not just going to participate, but to compete. That is where this club belongs,” he said.
