Lusaka Polo Club sues PR Girl Media over alleged $5,000 unpaid venue fees

PR Girl Media Limited, organisers of Lusaka’s high-profile fashion and lifestyle event, the Lusaka July, is facing a lawsuit over alleged unpaid venue fees.

The Lusaka Polo and Hunt Club has taken the media company to the High Court, demanding payment of US$5,000 for use of its premises.

According to court documents filed on April 8, 2025, PR Girl Media and its directors, sisters Chishimba and Monde Nyambe, allegedly failed to settle fees after hosting two major events at the club: the 2023 Men’s International Polo Tournament and the Lusaka July held on September 29, 2024.

The suit, filed by club chairperson Neils Bosjen, outlines a rental agreement between the two parties with payment terms set for after each event.

The club claims PR Girl Media breached the agreement, despite a letter from the directors dated September 4, 2024, in which they proposed to settle the outstanding fees in instalments—beginning before the 2024 Lusaka July.

The club alleges that no payments were made despite repeated reminders.

It is now seeking the $5,000 owed, plus damages for breach of contract, interest, and legal costs.
