- Police Constable Moonga has reportedly defiled a girl in the age range of 10-15 years in Kafulafuta, Copperbelt Province.
This occurred between March, 2025 and April, 2025 at unknown dates in Kafulafuta Police Camp, and the matter was reported on on May 13, 2025 by the girl’s father, Edgar Mwiinga aged 48, a Police officer at Kafulafuta Police Camp .
Mwiinga told the police that his daughter m, aged 15, a grade 10 pupil at Muchubo Adventist School, was sexually abused by Constable Moonga, a Traffic Police officer at Kafulafuta Police Station.
Brief facts surrounding the matter are that, on May 12, 2025, around 10:00 hours, Mwiinga whilst at the Check Point where he was deployed, received a phone call from his step daughter who informed him that there was an emergency he needed to attend to, and immediately he rushed there.

Upon reaching home, he found the accused and the step daughter at his residence.
He asked them about what had happened and his step daughter narrated that Moonga was dating her step sister but Moonga reportedly refuted the allegations and asked Faith to provide evidence on the allegations.
Copperbelt Police Chief, Pathias Siandenge in a statement on Wednesday said it was at that point that his step daughter then produced texts that were in her sister’s phone, some of which were love messages, where the victim was telling Moonga to give her money as she had done her part and that in one of the texts, Moonga indicated of having had nice time with the minor.
“The father to the victim then got furious and had the matter reported to the police at Kafulafuta where a medical report was issued to the victim who just kept quiet and never said anything to confirm what had happened,” Siandenge narrated.
He said the victim was taken to Masaiti Distict Hospital, where she was examined despite not having complained of any pain on her body and the results of the alleged sexual abuse were consistent.
Siandenge stated that a docket had been opened and investigations into the matter were underway, adding that no arrest mhad been made yet.
