Jamie Vardy marked his final appearance for Leicester City with a trademark goal, scoring his 200th for the club in a 2-0 win over Ipswich Town at the King Power Stadium.
The 38-year-old striker, playing in his 500th and final game for the Foxes, netted his 10th goal of the season to cap a remarkable 13-year journey since joining from Fleetwood Town for £1 million.
Vardy, Leicester’s last remaining hero from their historic 2016 Premier League title run, will leave the club when his contract expires this summer and opted not to feature in next weekend’s final game at Bournemouth.

Kasey McAteer added a second after the break, but the day belonged to Vardy.
Given a guard of honour when substituted with ten minutes to play, he was celebrated by supporters waving flags bearing the words “Thank You Vards,” and banners featuring his image filled the stands.
Vardy’s moment came in the 28th minute, slotting home after a surging 50-yard run and assist from James Justin. The goal was met with rapturous applause as Leicester moved above Ipswich into 18th place.
Ipswich had their moments—Leif Davis hit the post and Omari Hutchinson missed a clear chance—but the match felt more like a tribute than a contest.
McAteer also struck the post before sealing the result with a finish from a tight angle.
Leicester now face a future without the talisman who defined their greatest era. From doubting himself upon arrival to becoming a Premier League and FA Cup winner, Vardy departs as arguably the club’s best-ever player.
Both clubs face rebuilds. Leicester, amid uncertainty and fan unrest, must replace a legend. Ipswich, relegated and facing the likely exit of striker Liam Delap due to a £30 million release clause, are confident of a swift return to the top flight.
