Police in Lusaka have launched investigations into a case of breaking into a building and committing a felony, following the theft of 1,500 x 50kg bags of Urea fertilizer and other farming inputs from a warehouse in Chinika Industrial Area.
The incident occurred between 18:00 hours on April 20, 2025, and 06:00 hours on April 21, 2025, at Export Trading Group (ETG) Company.
Police Assistant Public Relations Officer, Godfrey Chilabi, confirmed the development in a statement issued on Tuesday, following a report of theft filed at Chinika Police Post.
The complaint was lodged by Warehouse Manager Chetan Lyuvn of Emmasdale, Lusaka, who reported that unknown individuals had broken into the warehouse and stolen the inputs, with the total value yet to be determined.

Preliminary police investigations revealed that the warehouse and surrounding offices were properly secured the previous evening.
However, the theft was discovered the following morning when employees reported for work.
Officers visited the scene and have since launched a manhunt for the suspects, who are currently on the run. No recoveries have been made as of yet.
