United Party for National Development (UPND) has dispelled claims that its youth members have lost confidence in the party.

UPND Lusaka Province Youth Chairman Anderson Banda said the youths in the party were satisfied with the work of the party.

“Such assertions are a ploy from the opposition to cause confusion in the affairs of the UPND,” Banda said in an interview on Friday.

He stated that there were many incentives beneficial to youths that government was providing to help alleviate unemployment levels in the country.

Banda explained that the New Dawn government was not selective and primed to provide opportunities for all youths in Zambia.

He urged youths both within and outside the party to take advantage of loans being provided the the Citizen Economic Empowerment Commission (CEEC) to help develop various businesses.

“Youths countrywide including those in the Party have taken note of government’s effort in ensuring a stable business environment for all youths,” Banda said.
