Transport and Logistics Minister, Frank Tayali, has announced that the Road Transport and Safety Agency (RTSA) is set to introduce a three-in-one motor disc that will combine road tax, fitness, and insurance into a single document.
Speaking during a tour of the RTSA stand at the ongoing Zambia International Trade Fair (ZITF) in Ndola on Saturday, Tayali said the new system is part of broader efforts to integrate and modernize service delivery.
“I can confirm that RTSA is in the process of introducing a new single disc that will display a motor vehicle’s fitness, insurance, and road tax details,” he said.

He expressed optimism that the innovation would enable motorists to make a single payment covering all three services, thereby streamlining the process and reducing administrative burdens.
Currently, motorists are required to pay separately for each service and display three different discs on their windscreens.
Tayali also noted that the new system would enhance efficiency and improve the overall user experience.
He further urged motorists to prioritise safety during the Trade Fair, which is set to close on Tuesday, noting that safety is a crucial element in the successful hosting of national events.
