The Zambian government has expressed its desire to deepen bilateral relations with Eritrea in areas of mutual interest, building on the longstanding warm relations between the two countries.
Zambia’s High Commissioner to Kenya, Alfred Musemuna—who is also accredited to Eritrea—made the remarks during the presentation of his Letters of Credence to Eritrea’s Minister of Foreign Affairs, Osman Saleh Mohammed.
In a statement issued from Nairobi on Monday, Musemuna underscored the importance of strengthening both bilateral and multilateral engagements, particularly within the framework of the United Nations (UN).
“Zambia is keen to deepen and consolidate relations with Eritrea in areas of mutual concern and collaboration,” he said.
